We believe that no two knitwear companies design and manufacture their garments in the same way. Therefore we use a core system with each client. Around this we adapt the system to meet the specific design requirements of each client, to mirror their garment design and manufacturing techniques.
Company history
We were formed in December 1991. At this time, the ownership of Microknit and the right to licence the software was transferred to us from HATRA. The first version of Microknit was released in 1982 and ran on Apple II computers. In 1985, Microknit was converted to run under DOS on IBM PC type machines. The software has been developed continually since then and now provides a complete solution for detailed garment specification and shaping of garments. It is used at leading knitwear manufacturers worldwide.
In 2008 work on a major new version of Microknit was started, taking all of the best features from the existing system, moving it forward into the next generation of design tools used by companies who manufacture shaped garments.
